Documentation Without Compromise
Norfolk Stride began in Norwich when our founders grew tired of vague online walking guides that ignored actual path surfaces, public right-of-way issues, and pole mechanics. Generalist travel sites often recycled marketing claims rather than checking tracks in person.
We decided to walk every path we describe, noting gate widths, stile locations, chalk density, and flint fields. Our technical gear notes apply standard mechanical scrutiny to alloys, carbon fibre layups, and wrist strap attachments.
Today, our publication remains entirely committed to editorial accuracy. We sell no equipment, provide honest appraisals of trail terrain, and welcome direct feedback from walkers across East Anglia.

We assess walking technique and route terrain with plain physical measurements, avoiding hype and vague assumptions.

We record exact ground textures and gate types. We never substitute local assumptions for boots-on-the-ground trail checks.
Mechanical Candour
We evaluate walking equipment as functional tools. If a locking cam fails on chalk soil, our readers are told directly.
Local Accountability
Operating from Norwich, we answer reader corrections promptly and update published route guides when track conditions change.
